Pawan along with his fans should fight for Special Status: YSRCP

Nellore: YSR Congress district convenor Kakani Govardhan Reddy asked Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan not to confine to media meets and tweets and suggested that he should fight for Special Status to the State along with his huge force of fans and followers.

He along with city and rural legislators Anil Kumar and Sridhar Reddy spoke to the mediapersons here on Friday.

He said that the Jana Sena chief has been striving for political existence in the State with tweets and occasional comments.

Govardhan Reddy wondered why the police took city MLA P Anil Kumar and rural MLA K Sridhar Reddy into custody when they participated in a candle rally peacefully on Thursday.

He said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had tried to foil the rallies organised by the YSRCP activists and private organisations in Vizag.

Govarrdhan Reddy said the YSR Congress would continue its agitation till the Centre declared Special Status to the State.

MLA Anil Kumar Yadav warned that they would obstruct visits of Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu in the district as he betrayed people of the State after assuring the Special Status.

He also said that not only YSRCP MPs but also the party MLAs were ready to resign for the cause of Special Status as soon as Jaganmohan Reddy asked them to do so.

He said the YSR Congress would continue its stir for SCS with the help of other political parties. Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy said that the party activists took part in agitations for Special Status in all mandals in the district. Corporators B Sreenivas, Roop Kumar Yadav and others were present.
