Hyderabad: The Privileges Committee of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly is likely to recommend action against five YSRCP MLAs who are alleged to have obstructed the proceedings of the Assembly during last session demanding discussion on special status.

During the monsoon session of the AP Assembly, the YSRCP members had created ruckus in the House. They had climbed on to the podium of the Speaker and stalled the proceedings of the House demanding discussion on special status for Andhra Pradesh.

Following this, the YSRCP members were suspended from the House. The case was referred to the privileges committee. The Privileges Committee, which held five sittings since September, examined 12 YSRCP MLAs based on video footage of the proceedings.

Those who appeared before the committee were Kodali Nani, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Dadisetty Raja, Korumutla Srinivasulu, Ch Jaggireddy, Rachamallu Siva Prasada Reddy, Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, B. Mutyala Naidu, P Sunil Kumar,
K. Sanjeevaiah and Kambala Jogulu.
