Vijayawada: All India Trade Union Council (AITUC) Andhra Pradesh deputy general secretary R Ravindranadh demanded that the State government withdraw the GO 894 which is harmful to the transport sector immediately. He said the transport sector is already facing many problems due to hike in fuel charges, taxes and impact of demonetisation.
He spoke to the autorikshaw workers who staged a dharna at Dharna Chowk near Alankar centre in the city on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, trade union leader Ravindranath said that the State government implemented the said GO in advance and observed that it would be very detrimental to the interests of auto-rikshaw drivers and cause a huge burden on them.
