Visakhapatnam: The Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL) conducted book reading contest through ‘Ahamahamika’, a forum to inculcate book reading habit amongst school children in the era of Information Technology. NSTL scientist V Bhardwaja Srinivasan conducted the programme.
Nearly, 850 students from 25 schools attended the event held on Friday and Ramnath Secondary School, affiliated to the NSTL Educational Society, also organised quiz competition in two categories.
B V Dhanush, Licia Saikia and V V Sai Ganesh bagged the first, second and third prizes while P Tejaswini and D Sai Harsh secured fourth and fifth prizes. Patron of Ahamahamika and Director of NSTL Dr O R Nandagopan and Lalitamai Nandagopan gave away prizes to the winners. President of Ahamahamika Dr Abraham Varughese, Venkatapathi Raju of Ramanath Secondary School and staff participated.
