Tirumala: As the annual festival of Suryajayanthi is scheduled on February 3, the temple management of TTD has cancelled all Arjitha sevas and privilege darshans to cope with heavy pilgrim rush expected on that day as it is considered most auspicious by devout Hindus. The festival provides a rare opportunity to the devotees witness seven Vahana sevas in one day. The lord takes ride on seven Vahanams starting from dawn to dusk on a single day.

The sevas which the TTD management has suspended on Rathasapthami day (February 3) were Nijapada Darshanam, Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Vasanthotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas. While the privileged darshans for elderly, physically challenged, parents with infants were also cancelled.

Elaborated arrangements were made by the TTD for the smooth conduct of the religious festival and also for the devotees viewing the Vahansms on which the processional deity will be taken in a procession in the Mada streets around the temple on Rathasapthami day.
