VMC directed to resolve audit objections in JNNURM works
State Public Accounts Sub-Committee member Adimulapu Suresh directed the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation to resolve objections raised by the audit department related to the JNNURM works.
Vijayawada: State Public Accounts Sub-Committee member Adimulapu Suresh directed the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation to resolve objections raised by the audit department related to the JNNURM works.
The PAC meeting was held at the Municipal Council Hall here on Saturday to review audit objections. Suresh suggested to the VMC officials to take measures to complete remaining works under JNNURM scheme. MLC P Subashchandra Bose said 10 per cent of total works remained unfulfilled due to funds crunch and VMC should complete the works soon.
City MLA Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao said that the VMC officials should take measures for the release of remaining funds under JNNURM scheme and solve the objections raised by the audit department. VMC commissioner G Veerapandian was present.
