13 eve teasers arrested

Vijayawada: Mahila Rakshak teams arrested 13 eve teasers on Sunday in different parts of the city. DCP Palaraju in a press release said that the eve teasers were harassing women in different parts of the city. He said Mahila Rakshak teams are keeping a vigil at public places, educational institutions and other places and arrested the eve teasers.

He warned that action will be taken against eve teasers if they are booked second time. In another case, one Palli Sekhar alias Kalyan (23) of Sarpavaram village near Kakinada was arrested for teasing a woman under Krishnalanka police station limits. He said Sekhar used to call the women in Krishna Lanka over phone and abuse them. He said that Krishna Lanka police arrested Kalyan.
