Tirupati: A five-year-old girl Navyasri was abducted from the Pilgrim Amenities Complex (PAC)-2 in Tirumala on Sunday. The police said the girl
was abducted by unidentified persons when she was sleeping along with her parents Mahatma and Varalakshmi at about 7 am.

The family from Kanaganapalli in Anantapur district came on a pilgrimage, reached Tirumala and checked into PAC-2 on Saturday morning. The
CCTV footage revealed that an unknown person covering his face with an overcoat taking away the sleeping child and hurriedly leaving the
complex.

Tirumala II town police based on the complaint from the parents registered a case and took up investigation. The police launched the search for
the culprit based on the CCTV footage. A special team has been set up to trace out the abducted girl. The incident created a flutter as it is
happened in the high security zone of Tirumala.
