Damacharla Janardhan Rao appealed to the public to see that their children below 0 to five years of age get administered polio drops as part of
the pulse polio drive on Sunday.

Collector Sujatha Sharma inaugurating the drive in the district, administered the polio drops to her daughter at the Collector’s camp office. She
said that 2,500 pulse polio booths were arranged at all PHCs and special centres like bus stands and railway stations and 10,000 medical and
health staff were appointed to see each and every child below age of 5 years get the oral vaccine. She said that about 3.55 lakh children were
identified in the district and efforts will be made to vaccinate them all without fail.

MLA Janardhan and Joint Collector Dr M Hari Jawaharlal launched the campaign at UHC in Balajinagar. Minister Siddha Raghava Rao and his
wife administered polio drops to children of passengers at the pulse polio centre set up at RTC bus stand here. Raghava Rao said that the
pulse polio drive will be continued for another two days.
