Eluru: Women and Child welfare Minister Peethala Sujatha alleged that the opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been creating hurdles in the development of the State.

Addressing a media conference at her camp office in Sanivarapupeta on Monday, the Minister said that the people will teach a lesson to those who choke its development.

She stated that after bifurcation, so many difficulties came in the way and even when the state is in revenue deficit, no welfare and development programme was stopped.

During last two and half years about Rs.65000 crore have been spent on welfare programmes and of this 24,000 crore was spent on farmer loan waiver scheme alone.

She alleged that the YSRCP President Jaganmohan Reddy with the help of his father’s power, had looted the state and he has no moral right to criticise the CM. She questioned Jagan about the irrigation projects taken up during the tenure of late YSR which did not get completed.

However, the current CM has concentrated on the irrigation projects to supply water to the crops of the farmers in the state with commitment. During YSR regime, the Jala Yagnam programme became a Dhana Yagnam, she lamented.

She said that the Chief Minister has concentrated on to complete the Polavaram project by next year and if it is completed, the farmers won’t even look towards Jagan and co for help, she criticised.

She said that the industrial summit that conducted last year in Visakhapatnam has adopted many MOUs and this year summit has received tremendous response from the industrialists.
