Chandrababu lays foundation for Polavaram diaphragm wall

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for diaphragm wall against Polavaram earth-cum-rock fill dam at the project site.

While Experts dubbed it as a rare project, the Chief Minister inspected the spillway works and the officials informed that the construction of diaphragm wall will be completed in 200 days. Once the wall is constructed, the government will accelerate the project works.

Speaking on the occasion, Chandrababu said that the project is being worked on with at least eight companies and it is his 14th visit to the project site, adding that he would keep visiting to inspect the works until the project is completed.
