‘Expedite Yeleru reservoir modernisation works’

Reviewing the project works at district collect orate on Tuesday, he said that in view of completion of draft declaration in nine out of 12 villages under the Yeleru project , JC asked the officials to complete the process in remaining three villages at a faster pace to opt for compensation payments to farmers.
Upon the completion of this, the process of assessing the market price will be taken to pay the compensation to the farmers at the earliest possible time, he said.
The JC reviewed the land acquisition for development of ADB road from Samarla Kota to Rajanagaram also. He also reviewed the land acquisition process for Purushothapatnam lift irrigation works for which the CM laid the foundation stone recently.
On this occasion the JC said that a total of 20,369 acres is to be acquired for this purpose.
He directed the Peddapuram RDO Visveswara Rao and officials of irrigation department to initiate measures to speed up the process. Kakinada RDO, B. R. Ambedkar and officials of irrigation department attended.
