Expedite project works, Collector tells officials

Kurnool: District Collector Ch Vijay Mohan expressed displeasure over the delay of Mucchumarri, Pulikanuma and
Pulakurthi project works.

The Collector held a review meeting with engineers of the Irrigation department here on Tuesday. Vijay Mohan has instructed them to expedite pending irrigation works so that they are completed by March end.

He directed engineers to exert pressure on the contractors for the early completion of works. The Collector informed officials concerned to resolve land acquisition issues by paying compensation to displaced. He assured officials of providing required funds for paying compensation.

In another meeting, the Collector warned of taking stringent action against those, who tried to disturb the Siddapuram lift irrigation works.

He ordered the engineers to ask the contractors to speed up the works. “Revenue officials should personally monitor land acquisition process by making field visits,” he added.

The Collector asked officials to deposit the compensation amount in the bank accounts of displaced only.

Superintending Engineer Chandrasekhar Rao, Executive Engineer Srinivasa Rao, Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanti Superintending Engineer Narayana Reddy, Telugu Ganga Superintending Engineer Raghava Reddy, Executive Engineer Pulla Rao, Deputy Executive Engineer, Vijay Anand, Superintending Engineer Srinivasa Reddy, Kurnool RDO Satyanarayana and other engineering officials were present.
