MP meets Railway Minister, seeks new trains for Prakasam
Ongole: Ongole MP YV Subba Reddy met Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and urged him for stoppages, extensions and introduction of various trains through the district.

The note released by the MP’s office here on Tuesday stated that Subba Reddy met Suresh Prabhu in New Delhi on Tuesday and submitted a list of requests from the public for consideration and announcement in the budget.
The MP asked the Minister to allot a booking counter on east side to Ongole railway station, extension of foot-over-bridge, construction of lift and escalator in the station.
He also appealed to the Union Minister to provide stoppages for Kerala, Jodhpur and Jaipur expresses in Ongole, Tirumala, Circar and Hyderabad expresses at Tangutur, Charminar, Machilipatnam and Seshadri at Singarayakonda station, Howrah express at Donakonda and Prasanti express at Kurichedu stations for the convenience of local passengers.
The MP asked the Union Minister to introduce a train in the day time from Ongole to Secunderabad connecting the state capital Amaravati, other train from Guntur to Secunderabad via Giddalur and another from Guntur to Mumbai via Guntakal.
