Kakinada: L Raghu Babu assumed charge as RDO and sub-divisional magistrate, Kakinada on Wednesday. Outgoing RDO B. R. Ambedkar handed over the charge to him. Prior to assuming office at Kakinada, he served as RDO, Kurnool from 2013 to 2016.
An APPSC Group-II officer of 1995 batch, Raghu Babu served in the Revenue Department in several capacities in East Godavari district till 2013.
He received best ERO award from Election Commission with cash incentive of Rs 20,000 for his services during the conduct of elections during his two-decade long service. Mandal tahsildars, VROs and other revenue staff called on Raghu Babu on the occasionand congratulated him.
