IGM Stadium to get facelift

Vijayawada: Vijayawada Municipal Corporation commissioner G Veerapandian directed the officials to take immediate steps for the modernisation of the Indira Gandi Municipal Stadium where Celebrity Cricket League will be held in March.

The commissioner inspected the stadium and held a review meeting on the designs that were prepared for modernisation of the stadium. He suggested to the officials that the modernisation works should be completed in two phases. The VMC chief said works of making pitch for the league match, greenery and seating for 10,000 spectators should be completed in first phase.
