Preparations in full swing for pre-public SSC examinations

Kakinada : The East Godavari Education department is gearing up for the conduct of pre-public examinations for class X students as part of its preparedness for SSC -2017 examinations to be conducted from 17 March .

In total, 65,864 students are appearing for the SSC exams from government, ZP aided municipal and private management schools. Of this total 20,000 are under private and corporate management schools.

According to information available, the authorities will be conducting subject teachers’ conference from the 4th of this month. One subject per day would be taken up to assess the standard of each student based on their performance in monthly, quarterly and half yearly exams conducted by the district common examination board.

After this assessment the concerned school headmasters and the subject experts will chalk out plans and measures to improve the performance of those students who lag in single or multiple subjects.

Apart from this the education department authorities will conduct pre public exams at district level before the end of February for final assessment of performance of students in schools under government and allied managements.

By quickly assessing the performance of students who lag in subject knowledge they will be provided special motivation classes before and after school hours. DEO R Narasimha Rao said that they are making concrete efforts to improve the pass percentage from the 97 percent which was achieved in 2016.
