State-level Excise sports, games meet commences

Vijayawada: Prohibition and Excise Department’s first State- level sports and games began at Andhra Loyola College in Vijayawada on Friday. Minister for Prohibition and Excise Kollu Ravindra inaugurated the three-day event and about 600 excise department players attended the tournament.
Speaking on the occasion Minister Kollu Ravindra said that entire department is equal to police department, unfortunately the department has been back when compared to police department.
He directed every officer and employee to compete with police department and prove their efficiency. He further said that for the first time excise department is conducting the state level sports and games which are very useful to decrease stress.
This type of tournament would be conducted every year and he suggested that everyone should participate enthusiastically. Krishna ZP Chairperson Gadde Anuradha, Revenue Special Chief Secretary Ajay Kallam, Excise Commissioner Mukesh Kumar Meena, Additional Commissioner Chandra Sekhar Naidu and others participated.
