Visakhapatnam: Two members, one of them is a student of Hotel Management course, of a three-member gang were arrested by the city police
here on Saturday for their involvement in robberies.

The arrested were identified as Sheik Jani Basha (20) and Panchakarla Kalyan Kumar (20), a student of Hotel Management College in the city.
But the main accused Mahanti Bala Durga Prakash is still absconding. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes) S Varadaraju said
that all the three accused are natives of Vijayawada and Basha and Prakash moved to Vizag city in October last year to commit robberies to
satiate their vices and they stayed at Kalyan’s room in the city.

The police said that the all the three are friends and indulged in bike racing in Vijayawada city to meet their vices. The trio on a bike targeted
the lonely person during the dark hours and they robbed the valuables of the people. The trio confessed that they had committed about five
crimes under various police station limits which include Arilova, Gajuwaka, Fourth- Town and Three Town in the city and the gang also involved
in the robbery of one motor cycle in Guntur district. The police recovered a Yamaha FZ bike from the gang and investigation is on to nab the
main accused.
