Yanamala unveils plans to develop native village
Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, the State Finance Minister has committed himself to promoting spiritual development and social activities of his native AV Nagaram village in Thondangi mandal in the district.
Tuni: Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, the State Finance Minister has committed himself to promoting spiritual development and social activities of his native AV Nagaram village in Thondangi mandal in the district.
Developmental works covering three temples - Sri Venkateswara, Saraswathi and Shirdi Saibaba will begin on the 7th of this month.
The minister along with his family had been camping in the village for the last two days and supervised the developmental works on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister stressed on the need for spiritual development as it leads to peace and prosperity.
Besides, getting involved in social work forms part of his social responsibility, the minister added. Revealing the program details to the media, the minister said that prominent people of the town had been invited for this programme.
Besides, special devotional programs are going to be conducted for four days starting from Friday, Yanamala added. With a view to doing service to the needy people specifically in the fields of education and health, a social service organization, namely, Yanamala Foundation has been formed by his family, revealed the minister. The floated foundation will engage in the activities of organizing medical camps, providing scholarships to meritorious poor children.
A comprehensive development plan has already been prepared to ensure the development of village. Water tank works, roads covering SC colonies and burial grounds, construction of Dhyan mandir to be funded by Zilla Parishad at a cost of Rs 25 lakh, and construction of PHC building to provide medical facilities are all the integral part of development of village, said the minister.
He further said that five churches in the village would also be developed as part of promoting spiritual agenda.
