Tirupati: APNGO association State general secretary Chandrasekhar Reddy refuted the allegation of Bopparaju Venkateswarlu against Ashok Babu, Chairman of Joint Action Committee of APNGOs.

Speaking to media along with Chittoor district APNGO association president Krishnam Naidu here on Monday he said that among the 86 employees associations who are members of APNGOs, JAC only nine are supporting the splinter group led by Venkateswarlu.

Pointing that the election to JAC was due on February 19, he said Venkateswarlu deliberately floated rival JAC only to malign the image of Ashok Babu. He said that the group led by Venkateswarlu unsuccessfully fought against Ashok Babu in the last election and again they have no hope of winning the JAC election this time also.

Out of sheer frustration he split APNGO association and floated a rival JAC which is not in the interest of association’ he averred.

In the same breath he appealed to the Venkateswarlu faction to rejoin the parent APNGO as any split will only harm the cause of employees.

Reddy admitted that there may be delay in resolving many issues of the employees and the grievance of several of them.

But this was not due to the fault of Ashok Babu or JAC but because of dislocation of government machinery and preoccupation of leaders like CM and others in shifting the capital, he said.

It may be recalled that Bopparaju group held a separate meeting here on Sunday where the representatives from various districts elected Venkateswarlu as JAC chairman and declared removal of Ashok Babu as JAC chairman. APNGO Tirupati city president Vijayalakshmi was also present.
