Vijayawada: Economic Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC) national director and BJP Mahila Morcha state president S Malathirani has assured that she will strive hard to improve exports of agricultural, aqua and handicrafts products from Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to media persons in a hotel in Vijayawada on Monday she said that she took the charge as ECGC national director in Mumbai on February 3.

Encouraging exports to foreign countries, providing compensation for the losses incurred while producing and transporting the products, encouraging foreign commerce, identifying the foreign business persons and giving information to the local business people and collecting the dues for the export products are some of our endeavours, she said.

International ECGC is in seventh place in export insurance companies, she disclosed. “The major agricultural products like food grains and aqua products are already doing export business from AP, but it should progress further.

For achieving this we will create awareness among the farmers on foreign business,” Malathirani said.

ECGC Guntur branch manager Suresh Babu said that they will take support of Malathirani for increasing the export of agricultural, horticulture, minerals and handicraft products from the state. BJP state IT cell convenor Vamaraju Satyamurthy and others were present.
