14-yr-old girl’s death shrouded in mystery
Tanuku: A 14-year-old girl student died under suspicious circumstances at Mandapaka village of Tanuku mandal in West Godavari district on Tuesday.
Tanuku: A 14-year-old girl student died under suspicious circumstances at Mandapaka village of Tanuku mandal in West Godavari district on Tuesday.
Police said that the body of Jangam Swaroopa (14), who was studying eighth class at Zilla Parishad High School in Mandapaka, was found at Gummampadu locks in Attili mandal on Monday evening.
Later, the police sent the body for post-mortem to Tanuku government hospital.
Police said that a case of suspicious death has been registered.
The family members told the police that they left home to attend a function at Mandapaka village on February 5 leaving Swaroopa in the house as she was asleep.
After the function, they returned home and did not find Swaroopa at the house. They searched for her for two days. After a long search, her body was found at Gummampadu locks.
The family members identified the body of Swaroopa. Tanuku police registered
a case.
