Srikakulam: The income tax official teams conducted simultaneous raids on cashew nut agencies, hospitals and gold shops in Palasa town on Tuesday.
According to sources, 84 I-T officials from Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada and Vijayawada formed as 10 teams and conducted raids on 11 cashew nit agencies, three hospitals and one gold shop in Palasa town on receiving complaints.
The I-T official teams verified documents, bank accounts, business transaction details at cashew nut agencies and gold shop.
The officials verified in patient and out patient records at three hospitals. The I-T official teams led by principal commissioner of I-T Visakhapatnam region Ch Omkareswar conducted the raids.
