Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Council (AP JAC) chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu made it clear that they would not contest AP NGOs elections are scheduled to conducted on February 19.

He also said there was no legality sanctity to JAC led by Ashok Babu as the JAC was not a registered body.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Venkateswarlu said that they did not have any connection with the AP NGOs elections and the NGO association leader were doing false propaganda on AP JAC that they were trying to defeat AP NGO chairman Ashok Babu in the elections.

Venkateswarlu said there was no legality to elections of AP NGO’s JAC as the JAC was not a registered body. “They did not register the JAC as it will create hurdles for their undemocratic election to the JAC.

They conduct elections as per their wish without following by-laws” he charged. He also said the new AP JAC (led by Venkateswarlu) will be registered soon.

“We are the separate association like AP NGOs. The AP NGO is representing for 50,000 non-gazetted employees only.

Our AP JAC is leading another 9.50 lakh employees of various government and pensioners associations who are not interested to join with AP NGOs” Venkateswarlu said.
