India won the toss and choose bat first and scored 289 runs for loss of one wicket in the stipulated 20 overs. Indian batsman Ajay Reddy made century in just 50 balls (109 runs, retired) with 17 boundaries. While Durga Rao socred 53 (33) and Venkateswara Rao scored 82 (not out) in 33 balls.

Later, Nepal team scored 137 runs with the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Nepal batsmen Ramesh Bahadur 35, Padma Daila 28, Vikram Bhadhur 24 cored runs. Indian bowler Ajay Kumar and Jafer took each wicket.

Earlier, Minister for Sports and Youth Services K Achennayudu and Minister for Water Resources Department Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao inaugurated the match. They introduced the visually impaired cricketers and expressed their happiness in conducting the World Cup T 20 Cricket match at Mulapadu.
