Nellore: YSR Congress district general secretary P. Madhu Naidu and another leader B. Chandrasekhar Reddy received severe injuries in an attack allegedly by owner of a cement pole manufacturing unit at Pellakur here on Thursday.

P. Madhu and B. Chandrasekhar Reddy who received severe injuries have been shifted to a private hospital in Nellore city for better treatment.
On receiving the information activists of YSR Congress rushed to Pellakur in huge number and tension prevailed for some time at the manufacturing unit.
Sullurupet MLA K. Sanjeevaiah enquired about the situation and also monitored health condition of Madhu Naidu. He condemned the attack against party leaders and criticised that TDP leaders have been acting as street rowdies in the constituency.
According to sources, P. Madhu and B Chandrasekhar Reddy had some disputes with local pole manufacturing unit owner Srinivasulu Naidu regarding illegal sand dumps.
Madhu also lodged a complaint on the issue with the district collector. YSR Congress leader along with some others reached to the unit on Thursday to discuss on the issue and after heated arguments Chandrasekhar Reddy along with his staff allegedly attacked him.
Telugu Desam leaders reportedly attacked him with knifes and sticks.
‘Manufacturing unit owner Sreenivasa Naidu along with his staff have attacked Madhu Naidu with a knife.
With this Madhu Naidu and B. Chandrasekhar Reddy received severe injuries. A case has been registered on the incident and the investigation is going on’, said Ravi Naik, Pellakur Sub-Inspector.
