Chaos in city in absence of traffic police

Vijayawada: Traffic went haywire on Friday on the main roads in the city due to absence of police, who went to attend the duty for the National Women’s Parliament at Pavitra Sangamam.

Traffic signals stopped functioning in many parts of the city creating chaos on the main roads.

Unruly atmosphere was prevailed from morning to evening as drivers rashly drove their vehicles ignoring the traffic rules and safety of other road users and pedestrians.

Elderly people and women drivers were panicked to drive two wheelers as auto-rikshaws and other four wheelers drove very rashly. As usual the youngsters have displayed their driving skills creating panic among road users and pedestrians.
