Decided to join TDP for Koduru development: Chengalrayudu
Tirupati: Congress MLC B Chengalrayudu, a leader who has considerable following both in Kadapa and Chittoor districts, said that he decided to join the TDP to ensure development of his constituency and Rayalaseema.`
Tirupati: Congress MLC B Chengalrayudu, a leader who has considerable following both in Kadapa and Chittoor districts, said that he decided to join the TDP to ensure development of his constituency and Rayalaseema.
Speaking exclusively to The Hans India on Friday, he stated that constituency development was his main aim. Earlier, the Congress government called tenders for development works worth Rs 150 crore in Koduru constituency.
The works have been kept pending for the last two-and-half years. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu assured to complete the pending works immediately.
He added that as a Congress MLC he was unable to ensure the completion of development works on time.
The MLC mentioned that apart from constituency works, another important reason which prompted him to join the ruling party was to see that the pending irrigation projects in Rayalaseema were completed.
He stated that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been releasing funds liberally for speeding up the works of Galeru Nagari Sujala Sravanthi and Handri Neeva Project works.
These two projects would cater to the irrigation requirements of farmers in the four Seema districts.
He said that he would hold a meeting with his followers to announce the date on which he would join the TDP.
