According to Brahmapurana, the Ramakrishna Teertham falls under the category of Mukti Prada Theertham.

On Friday morning, a team of priests left for Ramakrishna Teertham, located around 10 kms away from the hill temple.

This mukkoti is usually observed on the full moon day in the month of Makara (Capricorn) and is considered to be highly divine for holy dip.

There the priests organised special abhishekam to Sri Rama and Sri Krishna considered to be the presiding deity of the utsavarulu located inside sanctum sanctorum of Tirumala temple.

Ardent devotees, young men and women ventured into the deep forest passing through the inhospitable terrain to reach the Teertham to take a holy dip before offering prayers to the devotees.

It is pertinent to note that there are dozens of such holy spots in the deep forests in Tirumala hills which the devotees visit during auspicious days like full moon day, following age old tradition. TTD provided drinking water, butter milk and food packets in select places enroute to Ramakrishna Teertham to the devotees
