Award for women wing of VSP
Visakhapatnam: Women In Public Sector (WIPS) wing of RINL-VSP has been conferred with the ‘Best Enterprise Award- first prize’ in the ‘Navratna’ category for the year 2016 in recognition of their participation, involvement and achievements of its women employees
Visakhapatnam: Women In Public Sector (WIPS) wing of RINL-VSP has been conferred with the ‘Best Enterprise Award- first prize’ in the ‘Navratna’ category for the year 2016 in recognition of their participation, involvement and achievements of its women employees on their professional and personal front. This is the ninth award for RINL- WIPS wing and fourth in succession.
P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL, congratulated the women employees for bringing laurels to the organisation and commended their commitment, competency and for working with zeal in critical operation areas in the plant.
The award was presented to Managing Committee by Dr U D Choube, Director General, SCOPE, in the presence of Justice Vasanthi A Naik of High Court of Mumbai, Nagpur Bench at the 27th National Convention of Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS) held in association with SCOPE in Nagpur on Saturday.
A Usha Rani, senior technician, received the Best Achiever Award ( third prize) in the non-executive category for her distinguished performance.
The award was instituted by the Central APEX Forum of WIPS in 1992 is presented annually to select PSUs in recognition of the finest efforts made to harness the growth and development of women in PSUs.
The criteria for the award includes training and development, women representative on recruitment and promotion panels, data generation, coordinator’s net-working, membership drive and initiatives, laurels by women employees, support services, corporate image of WIPS and amendment on sexual harassment.
