After a split in AP Joint Action Committee (led by Ashok Babu), the office-bearers of Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association (APNGOs) were elected unanimously on Sunday as only single set of nominations were filed for all 20 posts in the body. P Ashok Babu was elected as APNGO’S president but a formal announcement will be made on Monday (February 13)  as per election schedule.

Vijayawada: After a split in AP Joint Action Committee (led by Ashok Babu), the office-bearers of Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association (APNGOs) were elected unanimously on Sunday as only single set of nominations were filed for all 20 posts in the body. P Ashok Babu was elected as APNGO’S president but a formal announcement will be made on Monday (February 13) as per election schedule.

Election officer D Dali Naidu received nominations from Ashok Babu Panel. Election was held for the posts of president, associate president, five vice-presidents, organising secretary, public secretary, secretary and treasurer posts.

For all these posts only one set of nominations were filed till 1 pm on Sunday as it was the last day for filing of nominations.

CH Purushottam Naidu was elected as associate president, D V Ramana, G Ramakrishna Reddy and five others were elected as vice-presidents. N Chadrashekhar Reddy was elected as general secretary, G Gangi Reddy was elected as organising secretary, Ch Ajay Kumar was elected public secretary. P Veerendrababu was elected as treasurer and five others were elected as secretaries.

Hundreds of APNGOs Association members held a rally from sub-collector office to NGO home in Gandhi Nagar before filing nominations. Association leaders said that election for AP JAC would be held soon and Ashok Babu would be elected JAC president.
