A team of YSRCP MLAs visited the Assembly building at the interim Secretariat complex at Velagapudi on Tuesday. 

Amaravati: A team of YSRCP MLAs visited the Assembly building at the interim Secretariat complex at Velagapudi on Tuesday.

MLAs Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, P Ramakrishna Reddy and Anil along with senior leader Talisila Raghuram visited the newly constructed Legislative Council hall and Assembly hall.

On the occasion, they criticised the government for spending nearly Rs 1,200 crore on temporary Secretariat. They questioned the need to spend huge funds on temporary buildings.

They said that initially the government announced Rs 230 crore for construction of buildings but later the amount was escalated to Rs 1,200 crore.

They also raised objection over the government not allotting exclusive peshi for the opposition party.

They said that they visited the Assembly building following instructions from party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in view of the forthcoming budget session.
