Tirupati: IG Rayalaseema Range (RR) N Sridhar Rao said on Friday here that the police department will soon set up a state-of-the- art Command Control Centre (CCC) on the hill station for monitoring the Tirumala security affairs.
IG RR Sridhar Rao along with CVSO TTD, G Srinivas Rao and SP Tirupati Urban, R Jayalakshmi examined various places on the hill shrine on Friday morning to assess its suitability for CCC.
After Tirumala visit, IG Rao met the EO, TTD informally in his office and discussed about security tightening in Tirumala. He requested the EO to support the set up of the CCC permanently on the hill shrine with modern facilities.
IG informed that with the Ministry of Home Affairs funding, Rs 60-70 lakhs will be spent for this centre. The EO responded positively and assured support for the security arrangements to be provided for the safety of pilgrims and temple protection in Tirumala.
The IG also inspected the newly made Field Alert Centre for Operational Networking (FALCON) mobile van at TTD Administrative building and how it is useful for surveillance in any mob locations, meetings, rituals and festivals.
During this visit, the IG speaking to The Hans India said that “Chittoor SP, Srinivas Rao, with his own idea has created this innovative mobile command control van with an outlay of Rs 75 Lakhs.
This van is connected with crime bureau records and face detection cameras for easily spotting of the old offenders”.
Rao mentioned that this van has been facilitated with high end CC cameras and remote operating drone camera, backups with generator, wireless internet connectivity and other ultra modern facilities.
Sridhar Rao stated that police is implementing new technologies for maintain security, law and order too. If in the future any police organisation requires this type of FALCON vans for their usage, our police wing can make this type of mobile vans commercially for them, said
