Tirumala: Renowned philanthropist, writer and social activist Sudha Narayana Murthy took oath as TTD Trust Board member on Sunday at the abode of Lord Venakateswara. TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao administered the oath to Sudha Narayana Murthy at Tirumala temple at 6 am.

After darshan of the Lord, she was rendered Vedasirvachanam by Vedic pundits at Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later, she was presented with prasadams and a laminated photo of the Lord by TTD Trust Board chief Dr Ch Krishna Murthy, EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao and Tirumala JEO K S Sreenivasa Raju.

Speaking on this occasion, she said she thanked the Lord for giving her the opportunity to serve the pilgrims. "Almost six decades ago, I visited this sacred place to attend a family ritual and now excited to be a part in the service of Almighty,” Sudha said.

It may be noted here that Sudha Narayana Murthy was nominated as member of the TTD Trust Board, in the post that was fell vacant following the removal of Chennai based businessman Sekhar Reddy after he was caught by IT officials who seized huge unaccounted cash and also found out assets disproportionate to know sources of his income, last month.
