Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh government Special Chief Secretary L V Subrahmanyam on Monday filed a petition in the High Court, praying that the ACB court order against him in the Raheja Mind Space case be set aside.

The petition came up for hearing before the single judge bench of Justice B Siva Sankara Rao. Senior counsel T Niranjan Reddy, appearing for the petitioner, informed the Court that his client as MD of APIIC at the relevant time only recommended transfer of land available at Nanakramguda to Rahejas as no other land was available at Madhapur.

He made this recommendation on May 12, 2005 and within seven days from then he was moved to another department on a transfer. Therefore, he had nothing to do with what transpired later, Niranjan Reddy said.

Several counsels representing other accused officials like B P Acharya, Ratna Prabha and others put forward similar arguments on the revival of once closed case and sought a combined hearing of their cases as well. The judge posted the case to Tuesday for further hearing.
