Candidates must reach exam halls by 8.30 am: Joint Collector

- The examinations to be held in 118 test centres in the district
- RTC instructed to ply buses from important junctions to the test centres
- EPDCL authorities asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply at the centres
- Prohibitory orders under Section-144 to be clamped at the exam centres

Visakhapatnam: Joint Collector-2 D V Reddy here on Monday reviewed the arrangements to be made for the ensuing Intermediate public examinations to be conducted from March 1 to 18 in 118 test centres in the district.

The examinations will be held between 9 am and 12 noon.

The Joint Collector-2 informed that all candidates must reach respective test centres by 8.30 am itself and latecomers will be entertained. He asked the RTC authorities to ply necessary buses from various important areas to the test centres and back. He instructed the EPDCL authorities to ensure uninterrupted power supply at all the centres during exams.

The city and rural police officials were directed to impose prohibitory orders under Section-144 at all the centres from the Day-1 to the end of the examinations while ensuring necessary bandobust.

Stating that the conduct of the exams would be monitored by five sitting and four flying squads, the Joint Collector asked the officials to arrange CC cameras at all the 15 sensitive test centres in the Agency area. Nagesh Kumar, Regional Inspection Officer, Intermediate Board, informed that a control room has been set up at the office of RIO with Ph Nos: 0891-2552854 and 0891-2567561.

All department officials must work in co-ordination for the successful and peaceful conduct of the exams, he added.
