VIzianagaram: TDP activists in north Andhra districts need to work hard to send the alliance candidate P N V Madhav to council. Though both BJP and Madhav are not popular in this region, Chandrababu Naidu has allotted the seat of North Andhra Graduates constituency to BJP. So the TDP cadre should actively campaign to ensure victory of the BJP candidate in the ensuing election.
Many senior leaders of TDP tried to get the MLC ticket but P V Chalapathi Rao, a senior BJP leader and father of Madhav has approached the high command and successfully convinced it and bagged the ticket.
But now it has become a big task for the TDP cadre to see that the BJP nominee wins the poll. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also instructed the TDP MLAs and MPs to take the election as an assignment and work collectively to win the seat. The BJP has some cadre in Vizag city but not in in Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and in Vizag rural area, so the BJP cannot solely carry out campaign in the Graduates Constituency. It needs good support from the TDP cadre.
State president of BJP K Haribabu also visited Vizianagaram and participated in a programme along with Union Minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju and appealed to the TDP leaders to support the candidate of the combine.
Now the MLAs, MPPs, ZPTCs of Telugu Desam are working for his victory and getting the phone numbers and addresses of voters and contacting various unions to support their candidate.
K Narsinga Rao, district president of Telugu Yuvatha said, “Our party directed us to work sincerely for this elections. So we are collecting the voters list and contacted them and seeking their support. Our district president and MLAs also directed us to involve in the process,” he said.
