The Chief Minister and party’s national president N Chandrababu Naidu asked Ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Ch Ayyanna Patrudu and other senior local leaders to ensure Madhav’s victory. Naidu gave directive at a meeting held in Vijayawada on Monday night.

Both the Ministers assured the party president that they would hold a coordination meeting in Srikakulam on February 21, Vizianagaram on February 22 and Visakhapatnam on February 23 and discuss on the steps to see that the TD-BJP combine candidate wins the elections with ease.

Later, Naidu convened a meeting with Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Ch Ayyanna Patrudu separately in the presence of district In-charge Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and gave them stern warning to end their differences in the interest of the party.

He told them that the party should live in the minds of the people for life time and just not for five years, the party sources said. Naidu showed them newspaper clippings for the last couple of months of which 59 negatives stories published from urban area and 121 from the rural and agency tracts.

He told them that due to differences between the top two leaders of the district, the lower rung leaders narrating them to the media which could affect the party image in the public.

Naidu later summoned Anakapalli MP M Srinivasa Rao and enquired about his differences with local MLA Peela Govind Satyanarayana. He told him to patch up and work together for party strengthening in the rural areas.

Hr rounded off the meeting stating that the leaders have to mend their ways to bury the differences, or he would personally intervene and mend them.
