Hareram elected Dt Secy of AP Rythu Sangham
Tadepalligudem: Akula Hareram was elected as District Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangham at its district committee meeting on Tuesday.
Tadepalligudem: Akula Hareram was elected as District Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangham at its district committee meeting on Tuesday.
At present Hareram is acting as district committee Assistant Secretary and State Committee member. After the election, the meeting passed resolutions demanding the government to pay compensation to the farmers who lost the black gram, green gram, chilly and tobacco crops due to pests in the district.
It has demanded the government to pay the price for chilly at Rs.15000 per quintal, tobacco Rs.180 per kilo and paddy at Rs.2000 per quintal.
It has also wanted the government to come to the rescue of the oil palm, banana, sugarcane, vegetables and salt farmers and sought a price stabilisation fund for the benefit of the farmers.
