As the notifications issued to recruit the candidates in the state government departments, banks, Central government departments, the candidates are striving to come out with flying colours.

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), banking service recruitment boards, railways and Staff Selection Commission will conduct the examinations to fill thousands of job in the next few months.

Nearly, 20 institutes are imparting coaching in GK, maths, reasoning, english language, clerical aptitude etc in both objective and descriptive formats. Notification has been issued for filling thousands of jobs in the state and Central government departments, banks, railways etc.

For APPSC Group I, II and III category jobs, the minimum qualification is graduation. In Group- I, there are 74 vacancies and the preliminary examination will be conducted on May 7.

The exam pattern will be descriptive and the mains will be conducted on August 17. The qualified candidates will be called for the interviews. In Group-II category, 982 vacancies are available. Preliminary examination will be held on February 26 and the mains on May 20.

Group-III services, notification was issued for 1,055 vacancies. Prelims will be held on April 23 and main exam on July 17. For Group II and III prelim examinations will be in objective type and mains will be conducted online. The selected candidates will get jobs in the Andhra Pradesh government departments. Thousands of candidates are undergoing coaching to secure jobs in the state government.

The coaching institutes are taking fee between Rs 2,500 and Rs 6,000 depending on the duration of the coaching and number of subjects they teach.
As far as Staff Selection Commission examination is concerned the candidates are competing for 2,000 vacancies.

Candidates with Class 10th qualification can apply for the test and the examination date is April 16. Any graduate in any discipline can apply for SBI/PO examination. Notification is given for 2,000 vacancies and the prelims examination will be conducted on April 27.

V Lokesh the director of Harshith Institute, Eluru Road, said enthusiastic youth are attending coaching classes regularly to face the tough competition. He said there is a huge demand for the government jobs.
