Visakhapatnam: Following strictures from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to bury the differences between the erring Ministers in Vijayawada recently, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Panchayat Raj Minister Ch Ayyanna Patrudu attended the coordination meeting to ensure victory of BJP candidate PVN Madhav in the MLC elections, here on Thursday.

Anakapalli MP M Srinivasa Rao, senior party leader and MLC MVVD Murthi, Visakha South MLA Vasupalle Ganesh Kumar, Gajuwaka MLA P Srinivas and Elamanchili MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu attended the meeting. On behalf of BJP, MP and BJP state president Dr K Haribabu, MLC Somu Veerraju and a host of leaders from both the parties attended the meeting in which MLC aspirant PVN Madhav and his father and former MLC PV Chalapathi Rao were present.

Ministers Ganta Srinivas Rao and Ayyanna Patrudu were seen sitting next to each other to give an impression that they had patched up. All the leaders later joined hands and stood up to announce that Madhav’s victory in the election is foregone conclusion.

Addressing a gathering, Madhav said he would strive for reducing unemployment in north coastal Andhra and ask the Central government to establish Skill Develop Centres across the region. Unlike the other candidates, Madhav did not mention about the Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh and separate railway zone though he spoke of development of north Andhra.

Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Ayyanna Patrudu said coordination meetings were held in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam during the last two days as per the directive of Chandrababu Naidu and party workers from both the parties in entire north coastal Andhra are striving for Madhav’s victory.
