Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy handed over a representation to the State Governor E S L Narasimhan on Thursday in Hyderabad for speedy clearing of the Agri Gold (AG) victims’ problems in the state.
He mentioned in his letter that the Agri Gold (AG) management had collected nearly Rs 7600 crore from 32 lakh depositors and customers from different states and more than 100 Agri Gold agents and customers committed suicide due to cheating of AG management in the state.
He said that State government failed to sell off the of AG assets to repay the customers and depositors and agents in the state. The PCC chief said the “CID officials nominally completed AG assets case” and demanded the state government for speedy completion of the AG assets auction to do justice to the victims.
The PCC Chief said the State government should release the Rs 1100 crores in advance for preventing AG agents and account holders’ suicides and government must put the AG asset values and CID report details online. “
The State government should arrest the Agri Gold chairman and other directors for comprehensive investigation over the AG assets and state government must pay Rs 10 lakh compensation to the families of the victims who had committed suicide so far” he added.
