Vijayawada: To boost both domestic and International tourism, India International Travel Exhibition (IITE] was inaugurated here at Vedika Function Hall, Benz Circle. IITE is a premier event showcasing the best from the travel, tourism, railways, hospitality and other related industries. The three day travel exhibition will focus on international, domestic tourist destinations, hotels, resorts, national, international tour operators and national affiliated service providers.

Andhra Pradesh tourism is the partner state, along with other state tourism departments/organisations like Himachal Pradesh Tourism, Kerala Tourism, Madhya Pradesh Tourism and Gujarat Tourism. There are number of other travel agents like Riya Travels, Southern Travels, hotels, resorts from different parts of country showcasing their products and properties. Participants will display and provide information of their destinations, holiday, travel, tour packages and other services.

“We believe that the inflow of domestic and outbound tourists will increase in coming months and Vijayawada will play a vital role in promotion of tourism. Our main aim is to explore tourism potential and spread awareness among the people. We are creating a one stop shop for three days for the consumer to pickup destination of their interest. The time at which IITE is being held is perfect for summer vacation, weekend getaways, honeymoon and round the year travel, vacation and business plans,” said Anurag Gupta, director, IITE, Bengaluru.
