Nagarjunasagar again became the centre of water war between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. As per the directions of Krishna River Management Board (KRMB), 17 tmcft of water has been released from Sagar dam for the drinking water needs of TS and AP through left and right canals in the last few days.

As per the directions of Krishna River Management Board (KRMB), 17 tmcft of water has been released from Sagar dam for the drinking water needs of TS and AP through left and right canals in the last few days.

On Tuesday, following the schedule, when dam officials of Telangana tried to stop the supply of water to right canal, the respective officials of the AP informed the dam CE and other officials of TS that they got permission for one more tmcft water from higher officials to protect the crops downstream. After confirmation, TS officials released water to right canal from NSP dam.
