Second major accident for Diwakar Travels
The accident took place at Mullapadu on Vijayawada-Hyderabad National Highway in Krishna district on Tuesday wee hours was the second major incident, involving Diwakar Travels agency owned by TDP MP from Anantapur J C Diwakar Reddy and his brother JC Prabhakar Reddy, TDP MLA from Tadipatri.

In October 2013, a Diwakar Travels multi-axle Volvo bus taken on lease by Jabbar Travels coming from Bengaluru to Hyderabad caught fire, killing 45 passengers at Kothakota in Mahbubnagar district.
In the present incident, some of the injured passengers alleged that bus was at over speeding at the time of the incident. DGP N Sambasiva Rao, who visited the accident spot, said that the police would conduct thorough inquiry.
Meanwhile,Diwakar Travels owner J C Prabhakar Reddy termed it as the most unfortunate and assured necessary help to the victims’ families.
