Vijayawada: Tension prevailed at Nandigama government area hospital when the opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy visited to console the bus accident victims on Tuesday evening.

As Jagan reached the hospital, the TDP cadre, who had gathered outside the hospital, raised slogans demanding him to go back. The YSRC followers in response made allegations against TDP government.

When TDP followers tried to obstruct the convoy of Jagan both the party followers had verbal duel and police intervened and dispersed them.

Later, inside the hospital, a high drama was witnessed when Jagan asked the hospital officials to handover the victims’ postmortem report. When the officials refused, Jagan had a severe argument with them. He told them it was not fair to deny the list to the leader of opposition and warned of action against them.

Meanwhile, District Collector Babu interfered and tried to pacify Jagan. But, Jagan repeated his demand and it was refused by the Collector also. Jagan alleged that the officials are colluding with private travels owner who is the MP of ruling TDP.

He demanded why postmortem was not conducted on the driver of the bus and alleged that police and Collector were fully corrupt.

He said that he would demand an impartial probe into the incident and all the corrupt officials would be sent to Central jail, he warned.

He asked how can a tourist bus be operated as stage carrier and demanded to register a case on this issue.
