Visakhapatnam: Politics is not like dancing in Jabardast TV show and taking digs at others, but it requires ample patience, concentration, maturity of mind and above all, to work as a bridge between the public and the government, said Panchayat Raj Minister Ayyanna Patrudu. It’s high time YSR Congress MLA Roja stops levelling baseless allegations against others at least from now onwards’, he opined.

Sharply reacting to MLA Roja’s allegation against him, Panchayat Raj Minister Ch Ayyanna Patrudu ruled out any links with ganja crop being cultivated in the Agency area. Accompanied by Endowments Minister P Manikyala Rao, Anakapalli MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao and Chodavaram MLA K S N Raju, Ayyanna was participating at a meeting organised at Chodavaram in the district on Wednesday to campaign on behalf of TDP-BJP candidate P V N Madhav.

Further, Ayyanna also challenged actress-turned-politician that he would quit active politics if she proves his links with ganja crop cultivation and asked her to desist from making such allegations.

Referring to the comments passed by the Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at the Nandigama government area hospital on Tuesday that both police and the Collector were colluding with the bus operator who is the ruling party MP and that he would send them to Central Jail, the Minister alleged that Jaganmohan Reddy has been politicizing every tragic incident. Stating that it was very unfortunate to have such irresponsible Leader of Opposition, the Minister asked him to learn first how to play the role of an Opposition Leader.

Later, Ayyanna appealed to the Graduate voters in and around the area to cast their first preference vote in favour of TDP-BJP candidate P V N Madhav. Endowments Minister P Manikyala Rao also took strong exception to the remarks of Jaganmohan Reddy when he visited government hospital at Nandigama. He alleged that Jagan was creating ugly scenes at all unfortunate mishaps only to be in the limelight.
