Visakhapatnam: Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas and HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao severely condemned the highhandedness of Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at Nandigama Area Hospital towards police officials and Collector Ahmed Babu on Tuesday with regard to the major road mishap.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Kamineni informed that when the officials present at the hospital refused to give the post-mortem reports of the victims, Jagan at once thundered at the officials acting in a rash manner and warned of action against them. His behaviour did not reflect that of an opposition leader in the State, the Minister said.

“When Collector Ahmed Babu tried to pacify Jaganmohan Reddy that it would delay the process of performing post-mortem on the remaining bodies if he held a press conference at the hospital site, he warned that he would send the officials to Central Jail, as he was habituated to going to the prison very frequently,” Kamineni said.

Perhaps, the power monger Jaganmohan Reddy might have lost his mental balance as he was trying to gain political mileage over the deaths of accident victims, the Minister flayed.

He said there will be no other opposition leader in the country like Jagan who has been constantly trying to block developmental activities. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao flayed Jaganmohan Reddy for staging a sit-in protest at the Visakhapatnam airport runway and planning to disrupt the Partnership Summit in the city.

He pointed out that the medical officials, police and Krishna district administration immediately responded to the road mishap and took up relief measures.

Stating that the law will take its own course, Srinivasa Rao pointed out that a case has been registered against the bus operator irrespective of the party affiliation and action will be taken if he was found guilty. He said the public were closely observing the misdeeds of Jaganmohan Reddy and his party MLAs and they would to teach a lesson at the right time.
