Roja tears into Naidu
YSR Congress Party MLA RK Roja took strong objection to registering FIR against Leader of Opposition YS Jaganmohan Reddy on the charges of obstructing government officials from discharging duty and said this was at the behest of TDP government with an intention to save the owner of the private bus involved in the mishap in which 11 people were dead, from prosecution.
Tirupati: YSR Congress Party MLA RK Roja took strong objection to registering FIR against Leader of Opposition YS Jaganmohan Reddy on the charges of obstructing government officials from discharging duty and said this was at the behest of TDP government with an intention to save the owner of the private bus involved in the mishap in which 11 people were dead, from prosecution.
The YSRCP leader said that it has become rather a practice on the part of N Chandrababu Naidu government to persecute the opposition leader for sincerely trying to come to the rescue of the people in distress and pointing the lapses of the government.
Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is unable to tolerate Jaganmohan Reddy as a responsible opposition leader going to Nandigama area hospital to visit the injured and express his condolence to the victims of the mishap and saw a case foisted on him’’ she averred.
She also found fault with the district collector and police officials who she said were dancing to the tunes of the government which was evident with they, acting swiftly on the complaint filed by the TDP leader and hospital committee chairman. They (officials) were keener on bailing out the owner of the private bus than providing succor to the victims of the mishap and questioned why the police have so far not taken any action against the bus owner.
Roja went one step ahead and said that despite private buses claiming many a precious life, the government dare not reining in them by taking stern action against the owners since they are prominent TDP legislators including MPs Diwakar Reddy and Keseneni.
